Staff: 80%

The staff at the Omori Tokyu Inn were helpful and polite, but unless you speak Japanese you will be limited in your discussions with them.

Location: 90%

The Omori Tokyu Inn has a great location located directly inside a subway station that is two stops away from one of Tokyo's biggest transport hubs, Shinagawa Station. This makes a transfer to Haneda Airport very easy. Around the hotel are a couple restaurants and bars. If you are planning on spending a bunch of time in Tokyo, you may want a more central location.

How Clean is it?: 90%

The Omori Tokyu Inn was a very clean place, being a mid-level business class hotel. The rooms were all tidy, the common areas were very nice and the furniture in the rooms and hotel were well kept.

Any Character?: 75%

The Omori Tokyu Inn had a par level amount of character. The rooms had a decent amount of flare to them thanks to the furnishings. The hotel itself had a bit, but looked like most mid-range hotels that are in its price range.

How Fun was it?: 80%

The Omori Tokyu Inn wasn't a super fun place, but it did have some things to entertain you. The best part is the location. You are right inside a subway station so getting to other locations to have a drink in Tokyo would be very easy. Inside the hotel there are some common rooms to hangout in, a restaurant, a bar and they also have a TV in room with a couple channels which you can pay a small fee to watch pay channels all day as well as free Wi-Fi.

24 hour reception, free internet, free Wi-Fi, singles, doubles, twins, TV, mini-bar, hair dryer, restaurant, paid breakfast, elevator, laundry, conference rooms, bar, drink vending machines, international phones, calling card vending machines, in room humidifier, A/C, free soap/shampoo, toothbrush and a Japanese style robe for use.

Value for your Money: 85%

Considering the price of accommodation in Tokyo, one of the most expensive cities in the world, and the great location, the Omori Tokyu Inn is actually a decent value with all its amenities and how nice the rooms are. Many other hotels in the area were much more expensive.

Bar:

They had a full service bar.

Internet:

They had fast and free internet for your laptop in the form of a LAN connection in your room in which case you will need to have an Ethernet card on your laptop to use it.

Food:

They had a full service restaurant inside the hotel that also had a paid breakfast available.

The Extra Good:

The location inside a subway station was awesome making getting around Tokyo very easy.

The Extra Bad:

The A/C in my room barely worked. Thankfully it wasn't a hot day when I was there otherwise I might have been in trouble.

Final Thoughts:

The Omori Tokyu Inn is a great place to stay at if your number one concern is to get to Haneda airport easily. Besides that, the rooms are nice at a reasonable price making it a possible base of operations for a stay in Tokyo if you don't mind the somewhat high price and un-central location.

Would I Stay There Again?:

Yes, but only if I was going to Haneda Airport, otherwise I would pick a more budget option located more centrally in Tokyo.
