Buccaneers' Backpackers is a resort style 'hostel' on the beach of Cintsa, South Africa. The hostel covers a lot of ground and has everything from dorms, doubles, etc. They offer a good amount of activities geared more towards the party crowd.

Staff: 80%

The staff I met were friendly, but some of the ones that run the front desk seemed a little too overzealous in making you want to stay for an extended period of time.

Location: 84%

There isn't much to see in Cintsa except for the beach, and since Buccaneers' Backpackers is right on the beach, it has a decent location.

It was a relatively clean place.

There wasn't an over abundance of character, but the place did have a bit of African flavor to it (mostly in the reception room shop).

How Fun was it?: 92%

This is where Buccaneers' Backpackers excels. Being a resort that caters to a younger crowd, they make a point to have many activities (almost all of which involve alcohol) to keep you busy. Some include free alcohol during hostel organized beach volleyball tournaments to nightly parties.

There is a full service bar with dance floor, restaurant, free internet, common areas, TV, dorms, doubles, kitchen, and activities desk.

Value for your Money: 92%

Bar:

They had one of the best bars in a hostel that I have come across, probably because they are trying to cater to the "party crowd".

Internet:

Buccaneers' Backpackers had free internet with two computers, however the two computers were pretty old and the keyboards were sticky (probably from spilt beer). They didn't have Wi-Fi.

They had free breakfast, along with a small restaurant to eat at for lunch, and nightly dinners that were very nice.

If you love to party, this is the place for you.

If you aren't in the mood to party, than there isn't really any point stopping off here since you'll probably be bored out of your mind.

Final Thoughts:

This is a good place to go if you're looking for a party on the beach, otherwise, I wouldn't spend any time in Cintsa. Personally, I wasn't really in the party mood when I was there, so I spent a very short amount of time at this hostel.

Yes…if I wanted to party my ass off.
