Euphoria Review and Information

Tallinn, Estonia

Hostel Description:

Euphoria hostel is a retro place with a very liberal staff located right on the border of the old town of Tallinn. The hostel itself consists of multiple separate themed apartments each with their own bathroom, kitchen and common room.

Staff: 90%

The staff of Euphoria was for the most part helpful, friendly and entertaining. Most of the people that were hired seemed to be to some degree or another "hippified" so you can expect some pretty easy going, laid back attitudes but that may rub some hostel guests the wrong way, say for example when a staff member who is male decides to wear a dress to work. I personally don't mind the antics but others might. I actually got along with the staff really well and they even helped me out with a lot of things while I was staying in Tallinn.

Location: 90%

The location of Euphoria was pretty good. You are directly across the street from the border of the old town of Tallinn, and also very close to ATMs, a super market and other stores.

How Clean is it?: 85%

Euphoria was cleaned pretty well every day.

Any Character?: 95%

When it comes to character, Euphoria really is a step above all the rest. Each "area" of Euphoria has its own theme. There are "red, green and white" areas all characteristically separate from one another. Also, there are some walls that they allow you to paint on so you could see the artwork of travelers from all over the world. My favorite area was the "white" one since it was the most modern and private.

How Fun was it?: 85%

Euphoria is a pretty fun place. It is a snap to meet other travelers and you even share somewhat of an extra bond with the travelers that are staying in the same "area" of the hostel with you. Besides that, they have a nice, lounge of a common room along with Hookah pipes for hire.

The Extra Good:

Euphoria is a wonderful place to relax at and get to know Tallinn. The staff makes you feel right at home, with the free breakfast, lockers and Internet they have everything a backpacker could need and the location is nice being on the steps of the Old Town and close to ATM's, supermarkets and stores.

The Extra Bad:

Being the laid back staff that they are, the staff at Euphoria had a bit of trouble figuring out how to not overbook some of the rooms. I believe that was sorted out though during my stay there.

Final Thoughts:

I had a great time at Euphoria and really felt at home there. I stayed at other places in Tallinn, and this was by far the best one. They have everything a backpacker could need and meeting other travelers is very easy and even encouraged.

Would I Stay There Again?:

Yes.
