The staff at Sleepzone Galway City Hostel was amazing. They were some of the friendliest staff that I have come across in all of my travels even offering to show me around the city. They were also very knowledgeable on Galway as well as various tours that were on offer in the city.

Location: 85%

Sleepzone Galway City Hostel has a good location in central Galway about a ten minute walk away from the main bus/train station as well as the central pub area. There is also a Supermarket about a ten minute walk away.

How Clean is it?: 88%

Sleepzone Galway City Hostel was a very clean place being cleaned thoroughly daily. The furniture was also in very good condition.

Any Character?: 75%

Sleepzone Galway City Hostel had an alright amount of character with its large common rooms, thoughtful color scheme and some decorations. However, if any area could use some improvement this would be it.

How Fun was it?: 80%

Sleepzone Galway City Hostel is a decently fun place with the free internet/Wi-Fi and large common areas. The TV common area can get a bit cramped however and if you have the misfortune of being there along with large tour groups you may not think it is a very fun place. The location also helps being within walking distance to all the main pubs/bars.

Sleepzone Galway City Hostel is a very good value, especially in an expensive country such as Ireland. When you consider the free breakfast and amenities the value becomes much more apparent.

The Extra Good:

The Sleepzone Galway City Hostel staff was superb. Every one of them was extremely friendly and helpful and definitely made my stay in Galway enjoyable.

The Extra Bad:

The amount of character in the hostel is somewhat low with it exuding almost a budget hotel sort of ambience with the sterile hallways and rooms.

Final Thoughts:

Sleepzone Galway City Hostel is a large hostel that could use a bit of work in terms of character and decorations but besides that the beds are very comfortable, the rooms are spacious, location is good and the staff is amazing.
