Hostel Description:

The Kinlay House Dublin is a large hostel located in central Dublin close to all of the main tourist sites as well as one of the most touristy bar areas known as "Temple Bar". It has nice staff, secure rooms and plenty of facilities.

Staff: 92%

The staff at the Kinlay House Dublin was fantastic. They were super friendly, had a great sense of humor, were very knowledgeable of the area and polite. To give you an idea of their sense of humor, one day they were giving out free beers to anyone who "moon walked" for them.

Location: 93%

The Kinlay House Dublin has a great location being in the center of some of the most visited sites in Dublin such as the Trinity College, Guinness Brewery and Storehouse as well as the Jameson Distillery. You are also very close to plenty of pubs, stores and restaurants.

How Clean is it?: 85%

The Kinlay House Dublin was a pretty tidy place being cleaned daily. The common rooms for the most part were well kept and the dorms themselves were nice. The only area for improvement would be the bathrooms.

Any Character?: 87%

The Kinlay House Dublin had a good deal of character with many decorations, paintings on the walls, and cool/comfortable common rooms all within a very old building.

How Fun was it?: 90%

The Kinlay House Dublin was a pretty fun place. Meeting people is a breeze, it is located right next to a pub that will allow guests to use its outdoor patio to drink their own beer at, and they have a great TV common room with tons of DVDs, free internet terminals and Wi-Fi and a great staff that won't shy away from having a beer with you. They also book plenty of tours at the hostel so that you can make the most out of your stay in Dublin.

Dorms, twins, doubles, triples, free Wi-Fi, free internet terminals, common rooms with TV/DVD, DVDs to watch, board games, book exchange, free continental breakfast, free laundry, security boxes, towel hire, currency exchange, full kitchen, secure entry, 24 hour reception, free maps, tourist information, toiletries and other items for sale, vending machine, international payphones/calling cards, ironing board, luggage storage, fax service and a coffee machine.

Value for your Money: 85%

Dublin isn't a cheap place and that goes the same for the Kinlay House Dublin hostel. Even with the relatively high prices the Kinlay House Dublin is still a decent deal.

The Kinlay House Dublin had a free breakfast in the morning that consisted of toast, jams, juice and tea/coffee. They also have a vending machine and sell snacks at the reception desk.

The Extra Good:

The location of the Kinlay House Dublin is great. You are within walking distance to all the main sites of Dublin and a short walk away from the drop-off point of the airport bus. On top of that you are close to tons of restaurants, pubs and stores.

The bathrooms at the Kinlay House Dublin are a bit dreary.

Final Thoughts:

I greatly enjoyed my stay at the Kinlay House Dublin thanks to the awesome staff, good location and nice facilities. My room was pretty spacious and clean, I met some great people while staying there and the beds were comfortable.
